Come on HBO, lets get this show on the road before
you get your 10 episodes wrapped up.
Tyrion spent an entire 1,100 page book wandering around trying to get to Daenerys. Yet, we're still waiting for them to meet as of early in Book 6.

What is so different?

Spoiler
Jamie & Bronn are going to play the part of Arys Oakheart and try to spirit Myrcella away. Maybe Ellaria instead of Arianne will try to convince them (Jamie and/or Bronn?) to declare Myrcella queen like in the books? My guess is that Areo Hotah kills either Bronn or Jamie, like Arys in the books, with Myrcella possibly getting scarred in the process. Sure, we don't have Quentyn Martell, but that whole storyline became pointless when Quentyn got toasted.

The next episode is entitled Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken, which are the Martell house words, so I expect we'll get a lot more of Doran next episode. We can find out more of his machinations on Sunday.

What is so different is that:

Spoiler
... in the books Doran had meticulously been working behind the scenes on raising and bringing about the young Griff ... the other (possible) Targaryen. You had the dichotomy of Quentyn and his Sand Snakes demanding action now and seeing Doran as weak and scared when in actuality he was very much working to ensure revenge for House Martell. Now he has no long game. What is his long game now? What is he doing to gett revenge? In the book he rivals Littlefinger and Varys as the great players of the game, here he looks weak.

Maybe ... but his entire plot and plan in the book has been cut from the show, so what and where is he working behind the scenes here? His plan is non-existent. If they instead tie his plan to Khalessi somehow that just doesn't come across in the same way ...

From his one scene, how do you know he hasn't been working behind the scenes?
Spoiler
Maybe instead of Quentyn, Jon Connington, Aegon, etc, he's working with somebody else - Varys, Littlefinger, Stannis, The Iron Bank, The Golden Company, etc? Maybe he is the one that sent the raven to that other Targaryen, Maester Aemon, because he has a contact near Dany that is feeding him information?

In the books, Arianne calls him weak & indecisive, just like Ellaria did on the show.

It's been a very slow season. Not enough action at all.

I'm not a bookie, but I just knew it. Thanks for the heads up Jeff.
