My favorite part of this recent episode was when Rebecca told Nicky how life is short and to get on with it regarding his old flame Sally. I don't remember the exact phrasing, but it was great. It was towards the end after they left the birthday dinner.
I quit watching after the Dads died ( Jack & the bio dad to Randall) I really tried to get into the next season of it & watched about 5 or 5 episodes, but it was too much of a struggle to watch. It was a shame, as I really loved the first few seasons. The kids as adults, always seemed so self centered.
Yeah, I told my sister just this morning that when it ends, unlike some series, I won't miss it or the characters. Every time I sit down to watch, I have to make sure my mood is good enough to withstand all the angst. Is anyone happy on this series?
The part I've found myself thinking about again i when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded. I hadn't thought of that in awhile. It really brought all that back to me, all the shock and the whole day, really.
Where are they finding all the little kid actors? Surely the ones who played the 6 year olds or whatever age they were supposed to be back then are now 10 or 11. Each season, they have to get a fresh "crop" of kids since so much time has passed between filming of the series.
I really wonder if the "children" in the class understood the space shuttle exploded when they watched it on TV. In my real life experience, the kids at that age didn't realize that what they saw on TV that day was not how it is supposed to look.
I really like how they tied it all together with red caboose, dementia, and 1st graders. It was a nice touch.

I wonder this too - but I'm wondering if they're using the toddler kids as the "older kids" now.

There is no shortage of child actors in LA, especially when it comes to auditioning for a popular tv show.

No kidding. My point is that they had to find child actors who looked like and sounded like the first batch of child actors. Perhaps, they found siblings or it was just great make up. Child actors are not necessarily confined to SoCal any more.
I think she's gained weight, but it's hard to tell - she's just so, so, so overweight.
It makes me concerned for her health. I was hoping to see her losing weight.
