If you told me an episode was going to be all about Jack's mother dying, I would have yawned. But I liked it better than any of the other recent episodes. It really got into his mindset on the related issues, and gave Milo more attention than he has gotten recently.

During his Eulogy, When he said, when you live in a house like that, a part of you never gets out.....
boy....that was True, so so true.
The little details, you never forget....
but, you fill up your life with new ones...the ones worth remembering....

Profound

That episode had such good writing. And Milo Ventimiglia can sure deliver.

Very! Very good episode and acting. I admit I was crying more than once.

I yawned. It was a fine episode, but we are closing up here. I think an entire episode in the past was too much.

Yes, so very true. I could not stop crying (and I'm not usually a crier by nature).

Yeah, I think it was a good episode, but what I love most about the show is how it weaves the past and the present together so well. I really appreciate the episodes that have both, and they work together thematically.

Trivia:
At two different stages of his life, the character of Jack Pearson is portrayed by two actors with the given name Milo: Milo Ventimiglia portrays adult Jack, and Milo Cragnotti portrays child Jack.
Besides the latest S6 E4, Milo Cragnotti also was in S3 E4, Vietnam, as Little Jack.

Hmm... I wonder if the child actor got the job because his name is Milo.

Sadly, they are used and manipulated for more than acting.

Oh come on, was that comment really necessary here? There are other places on c-d for that.
