…...The Metropolitan Development Group, based out of Vienna, Va. is ramping up for its College Park project. The group filed a building permit application valued at almost $65 million to build apartments and first-floor retail at 9091 Baltimore Avenue. That’s opposite the Monument Realty project now underway on the opposite side of Route 1. When its all done, Metropolitan’s project will be 238 apartments, 45 townhouses and about 4,000 feet of retail.

Already 85% leased. That's pretty good.

Quote:
As construction of the building comes to
a close, the student housing complex is
reporting impressive leasing figures for their
opening this fall with over 85% of the 829
beds already accounted for. Living options
are studios, one-, two-, and four-beds ranging
from $899 to $1,700 a month per bed.

Ulman has been on the job for about two months now. He’s planning to announce a deal that will bring the first start-up venture into the school’s Innovation District in the coming weeks.
Sweet!
