Excellent video by Paul explaining how the Ridge will be dictating the weather now. Confirms my thoughts earlier. Listen close and watch him explain how the moisture will be driving around the Ridge. This will lead to storms/moisture in the Northeast as well which will limit any big warmups IMO.

This set-up will send us lots of heat here in the Midwest. I expect most days to be at least 90, and lows only dropping to 70. Not record breaking, but hot for this late in August.

What a relief its not over the east. About time. I'm Enjoying this year except for the July scenario we had.

Your ridge should last through September maybe mid September.

Be curious to see how consistant it is from here on out. We'll be seasonable here with spells of warmth and cool weather.

I hope October that ridge shifts west so I can get thoughts troughs. :-)

Nothing worse than a heat wave in late August , imagine if this same air mass would have happened a month ago..

Another dry crisp morning. 5-15 below normal across the East. I'm at 53°F, should be near 61.
