Ice fishing buddy of mine said there was still a foot of ice on a Lake in northern CT. He's done with ice fishing for the season and is ready for boating season but can't with ice on it. Wish we had records for Lake ice around us. Or even ponds.

I want records for everything! Leaf changes too.

Yes, I know its some kind of lamplight by the times, but the lamplight looks like sun/moonlight. Nice "perfect timing" illusion!!!

Who would've thought spring would be more delayed than last year in the NE USA? Must be earlier in the Midwest tho.

Yesterday I found a nice spot less than a 10 minute walk from my office building and ate there:

Spoiler

Bare trees and grey skies. This isn't what was advertised.

Early springtime in Poland is usually very... strange. Warm and cold air masses clashes making weather extremely variable.
Today I been plaing basketball during >10C and sun and suddenly came thunderstorm with... snow. It was completely white after 15 minutes.

In Lublin (eastern Poland) people took those pictures:

Some days earlier, western Poland:

Incredible anvil.

Nice! The Sun must have a fair bit of warmth over there now. I'd love to have your may-sep.
Anyway, are you already dreaming of those muggy Chicago summer evenings, having a nice cool beverage, and smoking a big fat cigar?
