I'm pretty sure most wives buy their husbands a wedding band, and it is exchanged in the marriage ceremony. Do you even know how a marriage works?

It's about writing down all the money you've spent so everything is fair, isn't it?

So no "salo" for you? LOL, I agree it is a bit unusual.

People cringe when I tell them that I love liver and tongue and all other organ meats... I grew up eating this so I enjoy it.

Yup, changed it from "Women" to "Most women". Then I guess you would disagree with women when they say "Men are dogs...Men are horny", right? So yes, MOST women dream about a man proposing, the engagement ring a man buys them, and the whole wedding.

I don't understand the second paragraph at all. its all jumbled up....there are word missing.
No problem. I'll try it again. What is so hateful about looking for BOTH GENDERS to be in the receiving end as well as having BOTH GENDERS do it all instead of just one gender being in the receiving end while the other gender is tested, works on it, expected to take the initiative, to do the planning, and so on? It sounds more hateful to only have one gender want it all.

It comes down to tradition. Have you ever seen a woman propose on bended knee with a diamond ring in hand for her fiance? Just doesn't work that way. I actually paid for part of my engagement ring. I wasn't happy about it. I found out that my husband had not paid it off after we were married and rather than be in debt I paid off the rest of it.
Not every eoman is as materialistic as you think.

The most I would be willing to spend in total would be $5000 and that's pricey.

No wonder celebrity gossip about how much x guy spent on an engagement ring is hot gossip around women. I've heard of women who end the relationship because their ring was not expensive "oh my gawd, is that how much you love me?!" kind of thing.

I think it would be sweet if a girl also proposed to me with ring, speeches, a place she prepared for me (outdoors, fancy elegant restaurant, etc.) and so on. It's unlikely it will happen but i would care less if it was a ring that came out of a cracker jack box. The whole meaning about it is what i like. Rather spend her 3 month average salary on something we will both enjoy (house downpayment, vacations, another car, home improvement, etc.).

+1
