There are a lot of places like that^ in Sweden. The landscape is similar to Canada and the houses are just as big. I would say the roads here however are much smaller, especially in residential areas...

Denmark has the biggest homes on average in the whole of Europe

Then there are suburbs in Sweeden like this:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=59.39...0.19,,0,-13.14

Toronto tosses its projects in the city rather than the burbs:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=43.66...8.95,,0,-12.86

As in public housing. I think it's called "social housing" in Europe.

Beautiful houses but they are not as big as Canadian suburban homes, they don't have much of a front yard and they don't even have garages.

There are some projects going on near the city centre, here's one that just got completed (dark tall one):

But they are not as dense in the city centre as the one's in Toronto, going by your street view link

And your Canadian example has front yard of either grass and concrete and no landscaping with the front of the house looking like an add on to a garage. Nor trees. This looks much more friendly:

There's more to Canada than Winnipeg, but Invincible hasn't travelled much in Canada.

This is a typical suburb, Coquitlam, 30 minutes outside of downtown Vancouver.
