I decide to go and see a doctor!

Posted 06-19-2009 at 10:43 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I decided that in view of my worsening medical condition (my leg is swollen worse than ever and I am now having to take constant pain killers to allow me to function not to mention that I have had a fever on and off for a couple of days) that is is best for me to go and see a doctor.

So given that I still have my mind, my fingers, my voice, and am able to call out through Skype I started in on researching California medical care to see how I might go about seeing a doctor, renew a...

Got that Rainy Day feelin'

Posted 06-19-2009 at 06:58 AM by LookinForMayberry

Breath in, breath out -- be here now.

Nope -- still rainin'. Darn!

Up since three, trying to clear my head of the negative response to waking to another morning of rain. (Seems like much of this trip has been "too much" of one adverse weather or another: rain, wind, excessive heat, or cold....)

Weird how when I'm feeling like this, it colors my perspective of life. Things that shouldn't bother me, do.

Help me find my father Steve Shull / Szulklaper, disappeared 12 years ago.

Posted 06-19-2009 at 01:12 AM by lcubanito

I am trying to find my father who disappeared in 1997. His name is Steve Shull but also goes by Steve Szulklaper, his original name from Argentina, his birth place, is believed to be Silvio Guillermo Szulklaper. He should be about 64 now and was born in 1944 although my research has found that he has used different DOB with his SSN and other SSNs. I have not heard from him in 12 years and have tried just about every resource that I can think of. I am posting here in hopes that someone can help me....

You all have just got to see this video! Absolutely hilarious!

Posted 06-18-2009 at 03:18 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I was looking around at the web site of a Christian who I have just gotten to know and found an absolutely hilarious video!

You have got to see this.

It's not what you might expect so if you start watching it make absolutely sure you watch it to the end.

At first, thinking that I had seen this before in some nature video somewhere I almost closed the page and went on my merry way.

But I got a real laugh out of it at the end.

Taos: arrival

So I took up Charles and Melissa on their offer to stay at their property in Taos. Glorious, it is. She's in the gardening business, so flowers and vines are everywhere, and they have several little studios on the property. Charles is in antiques, and restoration, so remnants of all things old and cool fill the spaces. They even built a wonderful tree house loft, furnished with beds, electricity, and elegance.

One of the studios is where John Nichols wrote "The Milagro Beanfield...
