We view it all as Metro Atlanta, not a slew of various towns and cities with insular and nonproductive turf wars. I live in Cobb County. I don't think or look like many people here apparently think Cobb County residents appear and think. I regularly spend time all over the map, not just within a 3-mile bubble, and truly love the fact that I can traverse the entire Metro and benefit from all the experiences and exposures various parts offer.

This forum has turned into a bickerfest. It's almost unpleasant and pointless to come here much anymore.
^^^ exactly what she said

hautemomma, you've must have read my mind

What do you consider genuine urban experience?

There's a LOT more activity on the Square in Marietta than in most areas ITP.

Now you are comparing a town square to a massive area that is multi-county and multi-city.

No, I am comparing it to most individual neighborhoods ITP, including your beloved Kirkwood. I certainly have nothing against it and I am glad that it's very much on the upswing, but there's more going on here.

Additionally, and even more to the point, you just painted an entire enormous multi-city area with a very broad brush. So, turnabout's fair play, wouldn't you say?

The goal with the Braves development is a 21st century town square for the Cumberland area with terrific amenities

Why are you comparing a business district with residential neighborhoods? They aren't similar things. Marietta Square is lively. But compare it to other business districts, such as L5P, EAV, Downtown Decatur, Virginia-Highland, etc.
