So how does that change what God literally said?

It was written by a very primitive man. God cannot be jealous. Jealousy implies being insecure and it is a human emotion. In fact, advanced humans never show jealousy. To say God is jealous is to say God is imperfect.

That is the pernicious evil of believing that what is "written in ink" in the Bible is what God said! That is a preposterous belief . . . yet it is held by so many otherwise intelligent and reasonable people. That is the travesty of stagnating understanding at a 1st century level as a sign of faith in God!! It institutionalized ancient ignorance for over 2000+ years. It is a travesty that we have not allowed in any other area of human knowledge and understanding. We would be appalled by anyone retaining the ancient ignorance in medicine from the 1st century over modern medicine.

God wrote it with his one finger. So God wrote it. It is God you are disagreeing with.

No, it is impossible to disagree with God. You just do not get God. You see God in human term and that includes THE IMPERFECTIONS. God is perfect, one cannot disagree with perfect.

There is no reasoning with unreasoning credulity. God wrote nothing. Men did ALL the writing . . . even the tablets . . . or do you think it actually took God 40 days and 40 nights to write on the tablets with His finger???

Yes I pray to Mary as part of my worship of God. When we say the rosary we meditate on the different parts of Jesus' life. You can find out online how to pray the rosary. It is a very beautiful and powerful prayer. Catholics prayed the rosary for the conversion of Russia.

I have a statue of Mary but I also have pictures of my family all over the house. I don't worship my family in those pictures.

If you are interested here is the rosary chaplet, a short form of the rosary that is sung. It's a prayer for us and the whole world. I can kneel down or just sit there. I find it more comfortable to not kneel in my home, I don't have a comfortable place to kneel.. No, it's not necessary. I must admit I don't do it that often. My father's family would kneel down once a week and pray the rosary together, they were very devout family, probably something families would do good to bring back.

We can pray the rosary anywhere, even in traffic on the way to work or on a trip. Nice way to pass the time by thinking about God, etc. Prayer is good for the soul, is it not.
