Has it occurred to you that something written in the OT was something that was written to the Jewish people 3000 years ago and that by believing it, we are not required to actually DO that now?
Your point brings out another factoid about those who oppose the truth found in scriptures that God hates ... it's purposeful obfuscation.

The same people who mock the Bible as "the written in ink" \ "YOUR interpretation" yet points to "written in the heart" purposefully forgets that God said:
"I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts."
they can't get around it no matter what their daily talking points bulletin has it. For God also stated:
" Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them
, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

I am sure Trout understands . . . but clearly you do not. A figure of speech is NOT a literal reading.

And God still loves the one who deserves to be punished. His love always remains just as a parent's love for a child never changes, even when the child has to be punished. He knew that they would do this and yet He still loves them. God bless and peace.

You do realize that is being intellectually dishonest ... you do not revere them as equally, for if you did then you would not reject that God hates, God's wrath remains, and "never will be forgiven" means "never".

I'm not the one who said it. Warden did.

The concept of context is there, though. You need to understand it.

In other words, you, like every Christian, picks and chooses the passages they believe to be literally true, or figurative, or allegorical, or metaphorical or .....

You all cherrypick.

Every single poster on this contentious (but to me, very, very silly thread) is demonstrating it with virtually every post.

Virtually every post on this whole sub-forum exhibits the behaviour.

So just stop trying to pretend you aren't doing the same.

Why are you over here on this sub forums and on this thread, if you believe that the discussions are silly, TroutDude? What is your contribution on this topic? God bless and peace.
