Science proves that sexual recklessness / fornication / porn etc can actually damage your brain and cause addictions and obsessions which are not healthy. I knew a guy who excelled at picking up the ladies, but he admitted the one-night stands left him feeling empty and feeling guilty. People who watch porn feel guilty / dirty about it. Such activity goes against our God given conscience, and people know they are not honoring God with their actions. Why do you think many gays are in the closet? Same reason.

You are seriously ignorant if you think that is why gay people are in the closet... They are in the closet, because they fear what will happen when they come out. Mainly because of people like you, whether they be in this persons family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, schoolmates, or whatever.
You are seriously dumb if you think shame is the reason gay people don't come out. Like, IQ so low you might be listed as "special needs" kind of dumb. If there is any "shame" it is only because of people drilling it into their head while they are children (brainwashing, in other words), like you fundies do.

The church has a tendency to race past those commandments to love our neighbors, judge not, remove the plank etc......in order to get to the big "BUT that doesn't mean we shouldn't inform people of their sins..." This hasn't historically gone well for us as a religion, as evidenced by a truly repugnant history and a current reputation as the least loving people.
That's why I'm on these boards---and I don't think this thread is pointless. I'm ashamed of Christianity. Not because of the gospel or the fact that I literally believe a person rose from the dead (which I do). But because of how we treat people. I'm trying to do my part to change that.
We've had 2000 years of being the religion that loves people only with reservations and limits. Maybe we should just try loving, not judging and leaving it at that....just to change it up a bit? The results might be entirely different from what you fear. Such a Love might be liberating, healing, and might draw people to the gospel.
If sex is more important to you than God. Sex is your god. there by breaking the first commandment .
If money , people ,or drugs or power, or any thing takes president over God, this is breaking the first commandment.
Forms of physical abuse are not acceptable IF your body is the temple of God . Hebrew priests are not allowed to even have tattoos .
Pagans of the day cut them selves to get their god to respond .

I said, if you really believe that is the reason, then you are very low IQ. I stand by that, because the only reason you could think that is the reason people are "in the closet", is if you are truly stupid, or have zero experience outside of your religious bubble.
Anyone with a working knowledge of this country knows the true reason. So, you are either lying for Jesus, or you are one of the two things above. The only acceptable one is to be low IQ, because you can't help that.

In the late 1960s during the Vietnam War, Korean War veteran and neurologist William Caveness developed a registry of approximately 2,000 soldiers who had experienced head trauma during the conflict.
