but all I can think about with TX and FL now is coronavirus and how their politics will doom them in that regard.
Honestly I actually like the way with how Florida and Texas are handling the coronavirus, especially Florida. I give DeSantis about a 90% approval rating for Covid-19. This is my personal opinion. Refraining from imposing too many restrictions, and one of the things I am trying to help do and push for is ERADICATE all the coronavirus restrictions. I'd also put South Dakota, South Carolina, and Iowa at the top of Covid-19 handling as well.
California vs New York - This has always been a case where something looks better on paper than it actually is for me. Having been to SF, LA, and SD, amongst also some suburbs, I disliked all but SD and probably only because I had an aunt there. LA is a parking lot and a collection of suburbs. Made me realize if I want city city and not American city, I need to stick to London, NYC, Tokyo, etc. To me, they need to mix the density of SF with the nightlife of LA, then expand heavily the breadth at least of BART. Also, too hot for me. I'll take being on the border of Canada over Mexico. LA has amazing connections with Asia though, but the East Coast generally gets Alaska and JetBlue to connect and transfer, so it's a bit of a wash. Now to get NYC out of the mess these fckin' politicians put it in...
Texas vs Florida - I actually dislike the south, but at least you can make money in Texas. Austin is fun, Dallas is somewhat put together well, and I'd take those two over Miami, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, etc. Houston utterly sucks to me though, feels like they need to disincorporate most of it. Why does the border follow a highway just to for a gas station in the northwest?
This one feels a bit strange for me. California vs. New York is my real finals as far as I am concerned. I picked California for its geographic diversity although I might have voted for NY above any other state. As for Texas vs. Florida, neither is even in my personal top 10, but I voted for Texas because of Austin and Hill Country (although the latter is nothing special compared to many other areas in the US).
