I’m usually not wrong. But I doubted KC for the longest. I’ve been proved wrong. So new question. Boston or Philly?

Seriously surprised DC didn’t get in, national capital, big wealthy city, new Stadium.

God for Kansas City though.

I'm so happy about Philadelphia. Big year for the city!

DC being left out surprised me.

In hindsight, maybe it shouldn't have been surprising considering DC had to drop out due to their stadium. The joint bid thing is hard to pull off when you can just go with a KC or DEN (and KC won out), and the NE corridor is well represented already with three cities.

Toronto rounds out the East.

It's too bad that RFK and FedEx field have seen better days, otherwise DC would have been good. But Philadelphia isn't too far of a drive up I-95 from DC and especially Baltimore (you don't even need to pass through downtown Philly to get to Lincoln Financial coming from the south), so they'll basically represent the greater Mid-Atlantic region. Chicago is the biggest market without a game, with Kansas City the Midwest's lone representative.
