LOL,no. And living half there lives in traffic? I've spent one day in traffic and that was moving here otherwise the traffic is only for small stretches and is over pretty quick..and have only seen one day where the smog actually effected the weather..every other day except for 3 cloudy and windy days and one day of rain has been 70 and 80s barely any clouds and sunshine, sorry. Don't assume things based on stereotypes when you don't live here day to day and experience it for yourself. Not that I actually care what some troll thinks but you ride NYC way to hard..don't you live in Pittsburgh? LOL,you should probably worry about your own city instead of everyone elses.
And the transit here is fine..a great light rail system and more buses than you could imagine..does it compare with other cities? nope not one bit but does it get the job done? yeah actually it does.
LOL Los Angeles and NYC are rather like the 'yin and yang' of the U.S. Both reflect very different aspects of our culture...and both are to be cherished IMO.

One day in traffic in LA?.... I guess you ONLY spent one day there then!.... I've heard of people becoming fluent in 'multiple' languages from using langues learning cd's in their cars, sitting in LA traffic over the years of commuting. I know EVERY time I been there I sat in my fair share!

No I don't live in Pittsburgh, I live in NYC. I quit 'worrying' about Pittsburgh well over a decade ago when I left it!....

People using language cd's in there cars? AND THEY WORKED?
And yes actually I moved here this morning You think to much about LA while living in NYC then, you should give it a rest and enjoy the city instead of trying to pointlessly bash others. I sat in a great deal of traffic driving in the NYC area as well does that at all take away from the greatness of the city? not at all..you just have to know when to drive and how to get around the traffic. NYC and LA are two EXTREMELY different cities that actually work together very well in the real world, trolls like you try to make it seem different but in reality they are both great cities and you can't take anything away from them especially posting online.

LOL,quite the opposite I'm afraid.
I had no idea a "complex" involved giving two cities there due respect
Better luck next time.

Strip malls and chain restaurants doesn't excite a lot of people (atleast people who enjoy urban enviroments that are dense and have energy to them).

Look at Atlanta. A metro area that has 5+ million. But the city core only has a little over 400,000 people. That's a prime example!
Boston has a similar discrepancy between city and metro population and I dare anyone who has driven there to say Boston is built up around the car.

Boston is an old city up north, one of the oldest, and so are it's suburbs. Trying to compare Boston to some sunbelt city that grew by leaps and bound in the two decades or so, is impossible! When Boston's streets and city was layed out, cars where not in mind, the same can't be said about the sunbelt ones. Look how narrow the streets of Pittsburgh and Philly are, same thing.

All I was saying was that proving ATL is sprawling by the fact that the city is 1/10 of the metro doesn't work because the same is true of Boston.
