They started being occupied in August 2015, which was after those estimates. We will see a big jump in 2016 and 2017.

This Charleston resident calls out Richland County and Columbia on the lack of stewardship on the penny sales tax in his support for another half-cent sales tax for Charleston County, and deservedly so.

The colliers Q1 office report is not good for Columbia. New office employment between November and January this year has been stagnant. colliers also goes on to say that "Significant construction is not expected to appear for at least 12 to 18 months.". I think the slump in office sales should be a indicator to the city council that immediate changes need to be implemented to attract businesses.

I just read it. To be fair, he does enter some veiled swipes at Charleston as well, but most readers wont even notice. Charleston can't have it all and with articles like this, I suppose they bristle at that notion that they're second in the state at anything. At the same time, Columbia and most of it's residents don't care about comparisons or anyone else and we keep doing what we've been doing. We're "hesh" and Charleston is the tip-toeing socialite princess.

No word on how tall the building would be but I would imagine atleast 15 to 20 stories given the fact that the current building that the City is using on Main and Washington is atleast 10 stories and it doesnt contain all of the City's Office space.

Anyone heard any more about this?
United Way and USC/Columbia Technology Incubator are slated for demolition between this year and 2018. Maybe next cycle things will start to boom, not to say this cycle was awesome!
