Nasaau and Dunkin Donuts Center opened in 1972, but have gone through renovations. XL opened in 1975, but still in need of revamping. The state has zero cash to dish out.

Back to Bridgeport I mean losing their sports will have an impact on the city what else can draw people to Bridgeport.

Think they were being facetious. Being in Bridgeport area over the year for work, it has grown on me. A mix of restaurants from various cultures Jamaican is a big one. Not sure if much high end restaurants or Museums like Hartford. They don't have a theater like the Bushnell, but they have a Cabaret theater. Decent train station and bus terminal.

Also mix of neighborhoods. Crime is still a issue, but improving. Some new housing developments. Soon a new high school. The roads aren't in that bad of shape.

You have new retail area. An a decent arena.

You forget, Bridgeport has the Klein Memorial which holds many similar events to the Bushnell. Jay

You can't crow that nobody ever goes to the ballpark in Bridgeport and then pretend it will have huge economic impact if it closes.

I know you're hoping for economic calamity here either way, but, at least be consistent.

They are downsizing Nassau Coliseum, it already holds 15K.
They will not move back there nor will they ever move to Bridgeport or the Hartford Civic Center ( I still call it the Civic Center)

The Klein Memorial Auditorium - HOME

The Klein is located on Fairfield Avenue just west of downtown (near Iranstan Avenue). It is home to the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, New England Ballet Company, All Stars Project of Bridgeport, Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras, and Fairfield County Children’s Choir. It is not as big as the Bushnell (only 1,400 seats) but it has had many great shows and events there over the past 75 or so years. Check out their website for events. Jay

I was surprised when I first drove by Klein that I never knew such a building existed. But I guess there is no other reason to go to the West Side.
