I don't know about no snow right through till March, but in the short term it seems anything frozen is not in the cards, at least until after December 10th - 14th.

Remember, it's hard to get snow/ice in the Tri-State area until late December unless we have temps at least a little below normal. After today and Thur....there are no below normal temps in sight (normal high now is around 46 F). Our snow season around here is always fleeting, but we do need a few hard freezes to keep the bugs at bay. Still seeing ants and other bugs at edge of woods.

Daily highs stay in the 40's F or warmer it looks like:

Pretty calm weather right now so not much to talk about.

An interesting note: Despite the strong cold front, NWS Bridgeport managed to get into the 40’s F yesterday (high of 42 F). I didn’t think they would.

Looking at the forecast below (IF IT HOLDS?) …It looks like this will be the first December in 7 years with no highs in the 30’s F at NWS Bridgeport in the first 15 days of the month (last time this happened was 2015 when we had no highs below the 40’s F all month). While not totally unusual, we would normally expect at least a few days were highs failed to hit the 40’s F in December. It's nice that I can do some yard work I should have done back in October, lol. It will be interesting to see how long this streak holds

I marked the location where I am at. Snow sticking to trees but accumulating outside the valley. Looks like Snow showers back at the home state of Connecticut

Unless it gets warmer in the next 4 hours, looks like it won't happen because of today. High so far at BDR is 38 and it's down to 35 now. Even Central Park's high is 39 so far today.

Yep....I was just checking NWS Bridgeport, they didn't make 40 F today So it looks this December won't be the outliner. It's interesting, last year (2022) our first high only in the 30's F came on the 11th...and in 2021 it came on the 8th.

Still looking a big rain maker on Sunday/Monday. Clean out those gutters...
