Euro12z. Huge Rain/Wind warm storm coming up the coast from the Gulf crosses over Florida and NC and hits Long Island and New England with a Sub 976mb Low. Monday.

Potential for a secondary low Tuesday with cold air in place.

Just to note, Of the main operational models, Euro is the furthest East with this big storm Monday

The last big snowstorm (above 6") we had here in southern New England was this one. Almost 2 yrs ago. It feels like forever!

After the storm on Monday...it's still looks like no below normal cold is in sight. As of right now...NWS Bridgeport is running 2.1 F above normal....while Bradley is now 4.7 F above normal. CPC just came out with this today, so it looks like (if this holds?) the first month of meterological winter will come and go with no below normal cold.

January 2016 wasn't a mixed or snow to rain event.

NWS is showing that several of the models do have a storm on Dec 18th/19th.....but it looks like based on the temp profiles and position of the storm... it would be far too warm for anything but rain on the East Coast:

NWS is hedging it's bets on the 19th and now saying rain changing to snow, even in NYC.

My weather.com app says "snow showers" for Tuesday. At least the "S" word gets on.
