If half of what NWS is saying bears out, this storm will be much more impactful than the yesterdays system. They are saying 50 mph winds, heavy rain, and coastal flooding. I know they do (slightly) tend to hype it a bit, but it does look impressive. Strong cold air advection on one side from western Canada...and a deep subtropical moisture feed and warm air on the other:

We'll see if it lives up to it's predicted impact

High pressure keeping dry conditions in place over the region. Subsidence will lead to decreasing clouds and mostly sunny skies. Forecast highs for most locations today should reach into the lower 40s.

An interesting sat this morning from NWS showing how the High is pushing the rest of the clouds offshore:

It does look like this storm is going be intense.

Right now the storm is blasting north Texas - I-40 in Texas is closed and there is Blizzard conditions. Windchills near 0 to 10 F in much of north Texas. All of that power is spooling up and heading toward the Great Lakes. We should see 3 to 4 inches of rain according to NWS Upton:

This rain event for Tuesday & Wednesday looks way more impactful than this snow was. 2.5 to 3 inches of rain ain't a joke! Especially in the upper half of the state that got more snow.

Rivers will overflow with the snowmelt up north. There's still a snowpack in south Greenwich by the water. Light but that means snow still on ground across CT.

4 big Storms in 11 days including the Saturday the 6th. Wild. Reminds me of the past!

Saturday-Sunday 6th-7th
Tuesday-Wednesday 9th-10th
Saturday 13th
Tuesday-Wednesday 16th-17th

Euro00z for Danbury, CT. The 16th-17th still looks interesting with cold temps around and a storm
