Sure looks like a big downward trend from the 00z Euro you posted late last night for extreme SW CT and the City. If this solution verified, it would be quite the wallop for Boston.

Holy crap, no not ready for this. Harkens back to late Jan 2022, if it comes true. But it might explain NWS BOX issuing the WSW more than 48 hrs ahead of time!

It's really nice to look back on in the future. Maybe tomorrow if trends stay the same or shift south a bit

That's one of the problems with the models...or how people use them. Many forecasters go shopping for the model that is the most extreme to get clicks or TV ratings. I think NWS right now is being pretty conservative with their snow outputs. I think (in Connecticut at least) 4 to 6 (maybe 2 to 4) for the coast/southern CT...and 6 to 8 inland is reasonable at this point. However, there is a large bust potential, there is no cold high to the north, the system will move fast, and some of the snow will fall when the surface temps are at or above freezing. NWS seems to have the warnings away from the coast/coastal plain and Long Island:

Will be interesting to see what they are saying by Sunday at this time?
