And the craziness continues...

Bridgeport went from Feb 14, 2022 to Jan 5, 2024 without 2 inches of snow. 691 days. 2nd longest stretch

Last time Bridgeport got 3" of snow was Feb 13, 2022, 713 days ago which is now the longest stretch!

Last time with 4" was Jan 29th, 2022, 729 days ago, moved into 3rd longest stretch.

The past 6 - 7 days was a little preview of what it would be like living in a location like the Pacific Northwest or western Europe (UK, Ireland...ect). Some of us have trouble with 7 days of no sun...think about what 3 or 4 WEEKS of no sun must be like

Not to worry, this week we should do much better, mix of sun/clouds today (clearing more late), then a good deal of sun rest of the week until the weekend (maybe rain/snow showers by then).

My station records solar data/ sunshine hours.

I know in winter we have less sun but gees... Haven't had 2 days in a row with 3hrs of sun since Jan 11-12.

Only 5 days this month with 3+ hours of sun.

Don't have to even go as far as that, much of the Great Lakes (especially western NY State, northeast Ohio, and northwest and even western Pennsylvania) have quite cloudy winters......

Very true.

I'm always shocked at the difference in sun hrs between western NY and eastern NY/CT/Middle Atlantic.

Temp departures each week of January 2024 (minus last couple days)

Overall ended up above normal.

The 3rd week was the coldest
4th week was the warmest
