Now that she has released her gracious and thoughtful statement (a bit of a shock but hoping she is really okay) I hope the media leaves her and the family alone.

There is no such person as "Princess Catherine" same as there wasn't a "Princess Diana" either.
Sorry, but I think this is a very minor point as compared to the major news and my reaction to it. However, I will try to do better in the future regarding any reference to her.
Also, this might be petty, but her name is spelled Catherine, not Katherine. Maybe you should check yourself before correcting others?
Not sharing every intimate detail of your personal life is not being dishonest. Nobody should ever feel pressured to share that kind of info just because others think they have a right to know, not even the royals.
On a more personal level if people were badgering me about the state of my health I'd tell them to go pound sound, and I bet many of you here would do the same.
