She was protecting her children and my heart goes out to Kate and William. The media is just terrible as well as ordinary folks who spread nonsense. Stephen Colbert was not kind about her. Human beings can be super cruel sadly.

I love her though I don't pay attention to the monarchy.
She looked pretty sick in her announcement and not even like herself. That's why I'm thinking this is much worse than we're being told.
Cancer survival rates over there are terrible because it's a whole different system and they don't have the money to do cancer research like us (score 1 for capitalism). I do wonder if she has American doctors coming to her. I wish she could go to Sloane Kettering but she can't, it would look terrible.

Also, this might be petty, but her name is spelled Catherine, not Katherine. Maybe you should check yourself before correcting others?
However, I am going to do my best to refrain from any further petty quibbling or squabbling about this.
HRH's Christian name is spelled Catherine. However like Catherine of Aragon (queen Henry VIII's first wife) spelling also uses "K" or "Kate"
There is a world of difference between using "C" or "K" (which sound same in English language anyway) as opposed to making someone into something they are not.
Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was never "Princess Elizabeth"
Queen Alexandra was often referred to by some as Princess Alexandra because that is what she was; a daughter of Denmark.
