I started IF last week (trying to get over a stubborn plateau and lose that last 20 pounds). I haven’t lost anything and I’m extremely hungry when I get up in the morning. I’m doing that 16:8 IF and only eat from 11 to 7. I still use an app to count calories. So I know with IF I’m eating 200 to 500 less calories a day for 1000 to 1300 calories a day instead of my normal 1500.

Am I supposed to eat more during eating hours? If so, I’d have to stuff myself. What I’m eating during eating hours feels fine. But the hunger during fasting hours and the still not budging scale are discouraging.

18:2 yesterday - fasted from 7 pm - 1 pm and then ate from 1 - 3 pm.

Yesterday was tough, I had the beginning symptoms of a UTI, so I am drinking a lot of diet cranberry juice mixed with diet ginger ale (my go to combination anytime I don't feel well). Some would say that's not real fasting since it's 5 calories and full of artificial sugars. I would tell them to shove off and mind their own business. Although I'd probably not be quite so polite about it.

I'm considering two or three 500 ish calorie days next week depending on how I'm feeling and where my weight lands each morning....

27:3 yesterday - 'fasted' from 3 pm - 6 pm, ate from 6-9 pm. To the degree it counts (which it doesn't really - stick sucking down my cranberry juice cocktail!)

Brunch with the kids at 11 today!

Oh... instead of fasting 48 hrs from Thursday PM to Saturday PM, I decided to have a salad.
It was just lettuce with some cauliflower, two hard boiled eggs and Walden Farms dressing. Just 200 calories there.

After I ate it, I wasn't hungry and I'm still not hungry now, so I'll go OMAD today.
It worked out great... I not only lost all my Super Bowl weight but I set a new record low of 194.4 lbs.

There's no Super Bowl this week but there is Valentines and a Japanese dinner next Saturday night,
It'll be ok as long as I take it easy on the rice. After that, there is just nothing... I could go for months without any free days.

There is really nothing stopping me from reaching my goal weight by Labor Day.
If the weather ever warms up around here, I'd like to start walking on the days that I'm not doing cardio.

I just put my World Famous Crustless Pizzas in the oven... they are so good.
My wife's is pepperoni, peppers, onions and tomatoes.
Mine are sausage (medium spicy and Italian), pepperoni, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and a special ingredient... anchovies.
Mid's pizza sauce and lots of mozzerella cheese on all of them.

Anchovies are a love/hate thing. Most people hate them, but some people love them.
I've found it's the best thing to put on a pizza if you don't want other people to eat it.

Planning a 500 calorie IF day today from 5-7 pm.

(excluding my cranberry juice concoction)

Yesterday was a mess. Not a good day at all - I apparently struggle when not completely healthy, because I've had three mess days in the last three weeks while dealing with my current medical issues.

Food wise, I did 16:7 yesterday - Fasted from 6 pm - 10 am, and then ate from 10 am - 5 pm. Gonna try for a 24 hour food fast today. Here's hoping!

I only gained 2 lbs this weekend. Much better than last weekend.
Back at it today, going for another new record low.

I have a sprained left ankle that's swelled up a little.
Cardio is questionable for tomorrow but we'll see. It's not the 1st time and sometimes it improves quickly.

Fingers crossed for both of us healing up this week - as well as losing the weekend weight!

It looks like I've got another reason not to go to cardio tomorrow. Big snowstorm coming in the next 36 hrs.
So I'll be aiming to resume on Thursday. 2 lbs should be very easy... I gained 5 on Super Bowl.
