I do 7p -11am a lot and that is 16/8. Not 17/10. At least by my calculations. If that is what you meant.

7 pm - 11 am is a 16 hour fast. But my feeding window was not 8 hours. The numbers do not have to add up to 24 hours.

17:10 is a 17 hour fast followed by a 10 hour feeding window. It happens quite often in my world, especially on a game night. Yesterday was 15:5 (15 hour fast followed by a 5 hour feeding window).

The fasting window is the important one, so that's my focus.

Since I seem to be confusing others, I'll just stick to my daily fasting times from now on. That takes half the math out of the equation, so sounds like a decent plan in general!

Fasted from 5 pm Saturday through 1 pm Sunday - 20 hour fast yesterday.

Back to normal life today. The husband is recovering nicely from his surgery and hospital stay, he's all set up and can take care of himself while I go back to work regularly today. I even got back on my treadmill yesterday, just a simple 1.75 mile walk, but it's a start! I did not want to do it either (objects not in motion and all....) But was happy I did it and I have a little more of a desire to do it again today.

Gained 1.8 lbs this weekend.
I consider anything under 2 lbs to be a win because I eat quite a lot on weekends.
On weekdays I behave, so I end up with a net loss for the week, usually a half pound to a pound.

It's slow and steady, but consistent progress.
I figure it will take most of this year in total to reach my goal weight of 170 and that's about the pace I'm on.

Consider my weekend gains to be proof that you can gain weight eating low carb if you do enough of it.

I like your thought process re: the 2 pound gain! I gained 4+ pounds this weekend, but needed it. I was a bit on the low side for my health....

If I gain 2 or 8 lbs on the weekend (like I did on my birthday), then oh, well.
I gain weight coming off fasts every time. Like clockwork, it's gonna happen.
The number on the scale next Saturday morning is all that matters... as long as it's a half pound or more lower, it's all good!

I'm also getting a very good handle on what I'll need to do to maintain when the time comes.
OMAD, definitely... with occasional low cal days and 48 hr fasts thrown in.
If watching it on weekdays is the price to pay for a weekend free day, I'm cool with it.

Default 5:2 Intermittent Fasting

I did a 5:2 intermittent fasting starting today with 643 calories. Since it is my first day, I feel pretty good. I got hungry around 4ish and had some soup and had a light salad for dinner. Other than that, I filled myself with green beans and fruits.

Last week I did a low calories without losing anything because I celebrated my father's birthday on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Current Weight: 162.4
Goal weight: 120

Tomorrow - back to 1,200 calories with coffee in the morning. And 2.5 miles walk

18 hour fast yesterday. Recalculated my calories on MFP this morning since I'm getting back to my treadmill. The goal is to stay healthy!

It's Taco Tuesday - so taco salad for dinner tonight!

18hr fast yesterday. It was a stressful busy day, ate one small meal. Today might end up being close to 24hrs before i will get a chance to eat again.
