Sigh. Finally went to the doctor yesterday and got antibiotics. Snow storm coming, and the husband has surgery Friday - he'll be in the hospital all weekend. I don't need to be dealing with this right now.
But the doctor was fantastic! They tried to make me an appointment with the NP, and both my daughter and my sister say very negative things about her. I was probably a bit blunt on the phone when I said "no!", but got an appointment with another doctor in the practice that my husband has seen before - we both like her very much. She was fantastic! She gave me some great advice for some other issues I'm dealing with as well. I raved about how much I like and appreciate her to the front desk.
I did do a 24 hour fast yesterday from food. But I drank plenty of cranberry juice and ginger ale. Ate from 5-7 pm. Going for either 16:8 or 18:6 today! (for real - getting off the juice since I have drugs now!)
18:6 yesterday - fasted from 7 pm - 1 pm and then ate from 1-7 pm.
Only going for a 12 hour fast today. I have to be at the hospital for 6 am for the husband's rehab. I'm gonna be there all day, so I'm having breakfast. Gimme some scrambled eggs and a chocolate chip muffin!
I was good this weekend. Only gained 0.4 lbs.
I did eat lunch both days... a couple of pork chops on Saturday and a couple of tins of sardines on Sunday.
The sardines are actually quite filling, probably because of the oil.
We went to a Japanese restaurant for Valentine's on Saturday.
Because I ate less than half of the rice, my blood sugar stayed under 300, which was easily brought back under control.
The rest of a Japanese dinner is pretty low carb compliant, except for maybe the ginger salad dressing.
Crustless pizza on Sunday.
There could be a number of record lows set this week.
Back to my normal OMAD routine for the next 5 days...
I had low blood sugar last night.
Not that unusual, except that I shot an amount of insulin that shouldn't have gotten me in trouble.
I may have to re-calibrate because I'm skinnier.
