Anyone notice the newest Emerson polls and how badly Clinton is doing in the northeast?

Clinton:

+17 in MA (Obama +24)
+21 in Vermont (Obama +36)
+3 in RI (Obama +28)
+4 in NJ (Obama +18)

CT is the only state where she has a margin similar to Obama's in 2012.

She's also down 5% in Maine's 2nd congretional district which Obama won by 3%.

Ok!

Nearly 1 in 6 Florida democrats prefer Trump.

Perhaps you need MATH lesson ! How is Trump more popular in Florida amongst Democrats?

1 out of 6 Democrats preferring Trump in Florida means what to you?
He is not going to win the state of Florida.

Trump being viewed positively by 20% of democrats tells me that a relatively large amount of democrats view him positively.

As far as winning the state - who knows, it's about 50-50 according to polls.

So apparently the CNN poll the other day that some dismissed because it had a 4 point R lean, actually had a 4 point D lean.

Quote:
Correction: The CNN/ORC Poll topline document released Tuesday contained an error, numbers showing the partisan makeup of the sample on the methodology page were transposed. The correct party makeup of all adults in the poll is 32% Democratic, 28% Republican, 40% independent or something else.

Emerson polled landline telephone users only. Landline phone users are becoming a lower and lower percentage of the national electorate, especially the national Democratic electorate, each and every month, as more and more people switch to using mobile phones only for phone service.

Like the other 50-state polling released yesterday, this data was collected throughout AUGUST. Trump's surge didn't begin until 8/25-now.

This poll seems to stay within a certain range - I wouldn't put much weight in small daily fluctuations unless one of them starts building a substantial lead 4%+.
