The GOP is a private organization, and the leaders could probably find a way to do it. Of course, the consequences to the organization would be far worse than living through a loss, so I'd be astounded if they did any such thing.

Zero. He likely won't lose Texas but it shows how he still can't consolidate the Republican vote.

The main problem with Texas is that hispanics simply refuses to vote. Its a massive problem. Hispanics in Texas hate voting.

Do you know what the historic Hispanic turnout has been in Texas? Any links? I imagine that, if there is any election that will bring them out more, it is this one.

Only 39% of Hispanics in Texas vote in presidential elections. Its truly ridiculous.
