Pete went to two prestigious schools, got an entry level professional job, became a mayor of a small town and served in the military... it's an impressive story for a normal person, but he is not ready to go from that to being president.

Everything she said about Obama came true INCLUDING the taking of the Crimea by Russia on Obama's watch and that more drilling would lead to cheap gasoline.

His resume is far far a cut above that of say Biden who NEVER worked a real job, did everything he could to NOT serve in the military while voting for endless wars of choice that got 1000s killed, and whose been on the wrong side of history on about every major decision faced by the country since the 1970s.

Pete, on the other hand, graduated from Harvard with very high honors and was a Rhodes Scholar. He majored in politics and history, among others.
so that means he would make a good president or stands a chance of winning ever the Dem primaries? Oh and though I am not and never have been a Palin supporter, she is a college graduate so how can you refer to her as uneducated. Isn't than a somewhat biased arrogant statement?

ya know... Biden is just aping what the electorate wants to hear, so Biden has nutin'. Single payer health system is the difference and of course, Biden has lost a couple of steps.

Buttplug has energy and intellect, Joe has naps and dementia.

Have you read the book “Game Change, by John Heileman, or watched the movie of the same name, which starred Julianne Moore? (Try Netflix—great movie.) Steve Schmidt, Republican John McCain’s campaign strategist, complained that Palin didn’t even have a basic knowledge of geography. She thought Queen Elizabeth was in charge of British forces in Iraq. She didn’t even know the Queen was not the head of the government, that the Prime Minister is. When she was interviewed by “Today Show” host, Katie Couric, Palin could not name any newspaper AT ALL that she read. This was in 2008.

Palin attended at least 4 different colleges in the course of 6 years in Idaho and Alaska. Palin was very pretty and charismatic, but a dumbbell when it came to knowledge of the world.

Pete Buttigieg, on the other hand, was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and had first class honors in politics and economics. He was valedictorian of his senior high school class. That year he won first prize in the essay contest awarded by the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. At Harvard he was president of the Harvard Institute of Politics Student Advisory Committee. He graduated magnacum laude from Harvard.

Then you call Palin a "dumbbell". I don't read any newspapers either. Why would anyone?

It really has to be seen to be believed.

Back in the day that Palin was interviewed on the Today Show, 2008, most intelligent people read newspapers, especially government leaders. Katie Couric didn’t say anything other than ask Palin which papers she read. Palin was unable to give the name of any paper that she read. There wasn’t the amount of news on-line that there is today. I repeat, Palin was and is a dumbbell. She is a con “man.”

This is the text of that part of the interview.

Quote:
COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this—to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I've read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media, coming f—

PALIN: Um, all of 'em, any of 'em that, um, have, have been in front of me over all these years. Um, I have a va—
COURIC: Can you name a few?
PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where, it's kind of suggested and it seems like, 'Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C. may be thinking and doing when you live up there in Alaska?' Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America
Here's the entire interview if you're interested.

I am not doubting his intelligence one bit, I am talking about your insults, calling someone an idiot and uneducated. Yes, I am very aware of her educational background and her not being a scholar. As for the book, no I didn't read it, but if I had I take everything I read with a grain of salt Most reading material is slanted. I love to read, but I also love to hear both sides. As for being interviewed by katie Couric, I didn't her it, did you and I wouldn't trust much of what she said. but more than that my beef is more with the name calling and the insults. BTW though I do read newspapers I am also aware, even 10 plus years ago there are many ways to get news other that the print media.
