The police chief was taping the phone calls of white police officers. That is against the law and the FBI was investigating him. That is why Buttigieg fired him. Buttigieg really had no choice.

I think he needs to try and prove himself more though...he's mayor of a small city that only does well because of being the home of a well known university. He should run for Governor or Senator after completing his term as mayor.
I suspect Senator Lindsey Graham is gay. There may be others in the Senate or House who haven’t come out, especially the older ones.

This means Pete Buttigieg needs to look outside Indiana for a political role. Thus his reason for running for DNC National Chairperson awhile back and now running for president. He's got to jump in at the national level due to being from Indiana if he wants to expand beyond Mayor of South Bend.

Yeah, it is hard to see where he goes. The presidency seems out of reach for a small town mayor. Moving up to statewide office will be hard in Indiana as a fairly liberal democrat. Maybe an outside chance to be the VP, but more realistically maybe HUD or even a senior white house staff position? Chief of Staff perhaps.

I would go for Buttigieg over many of the other candidates, but just can't see him getting the nomination. He's probably my favorite out of the group, but I certainly don't agree with everything in his platform. Maybe it's more of a personality thing, many of the other candidates are just annoying. For some reason he gave me a Michael Dukakis vibe this debate. I was waiting for him to raise himself up to the microphone.

If he made it as the Democratic candidate against Trump...

IMO, Pete has made several moves since the last debate that is sending him down the same rabbit hole where 2/3rds of the candidates exist. Now that he has started to criticize large blocks of voters he's probably done as a potential contender for the Presidency at this time.

It was a nice run for him. I'm sure well see him again in 2024.

I voted for Clinton again in 1998 because Bob Dole was unappealing. He was the "Joe Biden" of the time. Probably too late for Biden to do some Viagra commercials.
