As a born and raised Pennsylvanian, I was sorry to see the two candidates for the Pennsylvania senate seat are a carpet bagger (Dr. Oz) and a Shrek look-a-like (John Fetterman), who goes around in a hoodie but is a trust fund baby that never worked, was in school in his 40's, and is on record to open up the prisons and let murderers out.
Unfortunately Fetterman shortly before the Pa primary had a serious stroke which left him mentally impaired so much so that his one stump speech in Pittsburgh sounded like baby talk.
Of the two, I would go for Dr. Oz, who is the lesser of two evils. Maybe Oz will step up. Fetterman, even if he wanted to, can't.
Well Fetterman is a failed mayor, who only made things worse for the people of the town. The crime was higher, and the population was lower after he left office as the mayor. Failure is a resume enhancement for Democrats.
well said. oz is no prize, but fetterman makes him look like one in comparison.
Actually, Oz could turn out to be a much better US Senator than we think. He's not a far right type person, but he is definitely farther right than the loony Fetterman. And, being a moderately conservative Republican might be better for him in PA than being a far right conservative.
I think that Oz has an excellent chance and think he would make a good senator. If I lived in PA (which I don't), I'd be embarrassed to say that someone like Fetterman was the best that we could find to be a US Senator... similar to that Raphael Warnock, a wacky extreme leftist from Georgia.

it's entirely possible that oz would turn out to be a decent senator. it's unquestionable that he'd be light years better than fetterman, the pretend blue collar guy.
The MSM made Fetterman. The outstretched arms with the dates of his dead homies. The tats, the hoodie, the bald head. John Fetterman was the hottest MSM darling since Beto O'Rourke. He would be the blueprint on how to make inroads with Rep. blue collar voters.
I'm real and Oz isn't was the idea. And it was working.
Until Fetterman brought up the various homes Oz owns. Oz responded with something like, "At least I paid for them with my own money. You've been sponging off your parents much of your entire adult life."
My thought was huh? What's this about? And sure enough it seems his parents have been supporting him over the years. Apparently they have money. Of course there's nothing wrong with that except it doesn't jive the blue collar attitude and look he's been portraying.
Fetterman is still the frontrunner and the upcoming debates will be interesting.
I'm suspicious that Fetterman is taking the approach Biden did ("brain dead guy, hiding in his basement so he won't have to face the press). He wants to run out the clock before any debates can take place.
In fact, Fetterman is desperate to run that clock out, because he knows he will be exposed during a debate as someone who is mentally incapable of doing the job of Senator.
There are democrats all over the country (and this thread) calling Oz a "carpetbagger" while seemingly forgetting that Hillary Clinton and PLENTY of others won senate seats in states that weren't their native state.
That's their prerogative. What Hillary Clinton did or didn't do in 2000 is irrelevant to the current race in Pennsylvania. But if you so passionately believe Mrs. Clinton's Senate campaign is so important to the Pennsylvania Senate race:
New York voters went for it. That doesn't mean I, or other Pennsylvania voters, have to.
Trying to pigeonhole entire groups of people based on your own biases is not a good look.
