No, these people are not picked out of the US. We have lots of "third world" people working in the American agricultural sector, and working in construction, restaurant workers, cleaners and other services.
The same is true in Europe. I live in Barcelona where all the 99 cent stores are owned by Chinese. Pakistanis own the delis, and many of the restaurant workers are either Chinese or Pakistani. You have many Latin American workers in the stores across Barcelona, and in the touristy areas there are many African merchants. Pakistani merchants as well. And of course these people all work in construction. Tourism fuels the economy in Barcelona and Spain and the construction work that happens due to tourism and real estate investment employs many immigrants.
Of course Spain gets lots of foreign direct investment and anyone with enough money to buy a house or make any major investment will be put on a path to Spanish citizenship.

Yes, 99 cent stores and restaurants are what Europe needs to keep their economy live. For starters people EAT food, and use the products in 99 cent stores or else they would not be in business. And restaurants are an essential part of tourism, as of course tourists are too busy to eat. Of course a lot of Europeans eat and drink at these restaurants. Tourism brings in foreign investment to Europe. Particularly in Spain tourism inject the money into the economy to allow Madrid, Barcelona, among other cities to grow, to expand their metros, to expand the types of stores they have, etc.
Back to the US, California and New York, our biggest economies, are dependent upon foreigners. You have a lot of Indians and Pakistanis in Silicon Valley itself, doing the engineering research. Especially Indians and Chinese. The agricultural work is done by Mexicans and Central Americans, as is much of the restaurant work.
Eastern Europe has next to nothing but nationalist pride, but their economies are DUMPS and nobody wants to be there. The states in the US that are also the most "American" are complete dumps because nobody wants to be there ,and they don't get many foreigners or many Americans from outside the state who want to be there.
As I noted, lots of Eastern Europeans have to move out of Eastern Europe to more diverse America and most diverse Western Europe to look for work. Looks like being so nationalist doesn't do anything to provide meals on the table.
Wealthy Russians buy home in diverse cities of Western Europe and America. Nobody buys homes in Russia or considers it for a vacation.
Pinar Atalay doesnt look german, her eyes are way too dark, she just would somewhat pass for the 5% of darkest ethnic germans, she would rather pass much easier for French, definitely. She had a bit lighter hair and more hazel of light brown eyes she would pass easier for a German. Pass is different than looking stereotypical, hardly any turk I have seen look stereotypical, even the small minority who were blond turks looked more like people in the balkans..like lighter bulgarians, which makes sense.
Germans are closer in appearance to Scandinavians, Dutch and other german Speaking countries. Several czech and some slovenians also have a pseudo German looks, due to high German influence. Other groups are easy to tell apart..

Oh yeah and foreigners from all around the world come to study and do research at European universities, and they make major contribution to science, politics, economics, the humanities while SPENDING money in the European nation they study in, and they are very much a part of the economy in these places and an important part at that.

Being genetically German and displaying what are typically considered Germanic behaviors (most of it stereotypes) are two very different things. Your genes can come from anywhere around the world, if you grow up in a given culture, you automatically adapt its ways.

Brits are not Majority Germanic, they are mostly descendants of the pre-celtic inhabitants of 5000-10000 years ago. British and Irish people are very hard to tell apart, so its mostly nosense one of them are "celtic" and the Other are "Germanic" is mostly BS, Even in East anglia the anglo-saxon Dna has been recorded a minority of the total Ancestry, British and Irish are basically 90% the same genes. France had Germanic nobility but was never majority Germanic, Normans in the north, Vikings.. however Gallo-romance peoples have always been the foundation of the coutry, otherwise they wouldnt havent ended up speaking a Language that is heavily based in Vulgar Latin. Only Scandinavia (minus Finland), The Netherlands and Germany are Majority Germanic.. you could add Austria here but it obviously was also a continental celtic area and had also influence of the slavic world.
