Whenever I hear these leaders open their mouths, I hear the following:"Guys, guys, look at the size of my penis. It's huuuugggeeee"
LMAO!!!! You are right on target. Well said.

Look to Canada as a model instead or any other Western European country.
I agree. Russia is guilty of just about everything the US is in one form or another. It doesn't mean the 2 countries can't work together to better the lot of humanity though.

It can be done and should be.

Where did you see that, I wonder?

As it should not be... what kind of psychos exist in a country where they hate someone for taking a vacation to europe?

It's not about "hate" - it's about the misstep during the presidential campaign ( as if this kind of stuff doesn't exist in American politics, jeez...)
Since the whole left wing ( and Grudinin representing it) base their campaign on basically anti-corruption platform, all Russians know that Russian corruption has its roots in Western banking system - it's joined at the hip with it. So Grudinin's New Year vacation spent in Germany out of all places, can be used by his enemies as propaganda that he is no different from the current clique.
So these are the negative consequences.
The positive side of it however, is this trip sends a signal to the so-called "liberals" (who are weary of the return of the Communists,) that there will be no more authoritarianism and anti-Western propaganda, so part of that electorate ( Navalny's potential electorate including) will end up in Grudinin's camp most likely.

So they've said back in 1916.. and in 1605..and in 1812, and in 1941 and in 1990.
You ( and silly Ukrainians) are trying to repeat this now, so feel free while you can. Then your error will be corrected as usual.

I've been hearing about the "imminent collapse" of Russia for decades. Jeeze, how long do I have to hold my breath?

And then some more...
It couldn't be any other way, since the "successful economic model" has been pushed onto Russia by American economists and wizards from IMF.

I'm just blessed with understanding Russians. Its a useful skill, it got me married afterall.

You're right about Grudinin soaking up the protest vote. Navalny is tainted goods even if he was allowed and Sobchak is a joke.
