"Spies"? That's so 50's! Spies on tourist visas? Surely you jest. The main concern for the last several decades has been about Russian mafias. But that's an immigration issue, not a tourism one.

Russians have showed again and again that they cannot be trusted. They should travel to countries where they are welcomed, like Belarus, Myanmar and Syria. The latter two are, just like Russia, no strangers to heinous war crimes.

The Russian agents that poisoned Sergei Skripal and his daughter arrived on tourists visas:

How Russia's spies allegedly strong-armed their way into a UK visa before Skripal's poisoning

And this is definitely true.

Stuff happens, Maksim. Governments do underhanded things, when they feel it necessary. The difference between some countries in the West, and Russia is, that in Russia, there are no exposés, except on extremely rare occasions, like when Khrushchev denounced Stalin. There are no exposés in part because there is no free press, and accessing secret documents is impossible, except (nowadays) it's possible for things that happened before 1990. It used to be impossible to access certain types of government documents, too, until President Carter passed the Freedom of Information Act. That was revolutionary.

Anyway, the poisoning of Sergei Skripal by Russian agents in the UK was a global scandal, that resulted in sanctions against Russia.

Just in case you didn't know:

Facts are facts that Ukraine are no saints, even if we assume the invasion is Russia's fault.

I've missed the point where out of a sudden Ukraine and eastern europe became "cool" in the west while Russia isn't. Something about western corporations interested into russian gold, oil and diamonds maybe...

Ukraine doesn't haveany gold or diamonds, or hardly any oil.

It's not about being "cool". It's about one country illegally invading another independent country, right in the middle of Europe. Why is that hard to understand? Europe that the era of wars in its midst was long over.

If Russian tourists can't be trusted, what about British, Australian and African tourists then to Thailand: British, African and Australian con men are known to be heavily involved in credit card scams, drug dealing, counterfeiting and the sex industry,

Pattaya has become a bolthole for child molesters.

British national George Tower, 73, was charged with having sex with a person under 13 at his home in Hai Ya sub district, Chiang Mai, in May 2016.

In 2015, 64-year-old Simon Briscore, another Brit, was arrested after two 16-year-old boys claimed he did not fulfil his promise to pay them 500 baht (£11) for sex each.

Pattaya where ex-squaddie Vella, from Birmingham, was filmed walking hand-in-hand with now-deceased prostitute Janhuathon, 26.They were both seen inside a lift at the Cosy Beach View condominium at 3.15am on Saturday morning after he paid 1,500 baht (£35) for the night with her.

She was found dead at 5.30am the same morning after falling naked from a fifth floor balcony while allegedly having "extravagant" sex with Vella.

Wannipa suffered fatal head injuries and was found on the street alongside a packet of sex drugs while Vella fled on a motorbike after allegedly taking her phone.

If you claim Russian tourists can't be trusted, why not the same standard to British in Thailand then?

100%. Europe should have banned Russian entry in 2014, at least February this year, but better late than never. Russians in Europe should also be deported.

Europe and America should do the same with Chinese people but I guess that's asking too much lol.
