Danish teen fought off her attacker - now she'll face fine - The Local

Someone, possibly a Muslim refugee/immigrant, tried to rape her. She used her pepper spray to fight him off her. She called the police to report the incident and was arrested for having used pepper spray on a person. What should she have used? A gun, knife, metal baton, taser, or the kindness of words to understand his feelings?

So what if she'll face fine. It's better than get raped. I'm not surprise that people think of Denmark as a utopia. Yes higher wage working for McDonalds, but that's it.

Dear Danish girl, you did the right thing Don't take it as personal insult that your country is leaded by brutal people who just like (some) muslims want to punish a victim.

I am sorry that also woman right organizations rarely officially lift a finger when something like this happends because they are thinking like it is common "SHE IS NOT LASHED, THERE CANNOT BE PROBLEM" . If these danget organizations would just sometimes look what happends on their own back yard....

You are one brave girl who did a right thing and I would hope danish people and others would open their mouths to say that women have to have rights to defence themselves from rape without getting punished of being not raped..

I am disgusted of danish, norther countries and european policy on which countries has same laws. Get your buttocks off from caveman season

Stop protecting rapists!

Getting fined is better than getting raped but should a poor one then quietly accept rape because of knowledge that she cannot pay 500 k ?

Is this like middle age and not modern time, really?

Women, you will be punished, if you lift a finger against a rapist.. What kind of law is that?

When a woman is not punished for avoiding rape? When a woman has rights to defend her? It is her body, how she can be fined for protecting herself?

There is no any reason to punish her for that.

So what? She broke the law and now a court will decide if she will get punished for it. Just like the guy who wanted to rape her will certainly get punished.

It's called "the rule of law".

She shouldn't have called the police - I bet the rapist wouldn't have done either and won't be punished anyway, especially if he is a migrant. This might likewise happen in Germany, that victims are punished rather than the perpetrator

Modern day Europe is sick to the core.

I'm done with feeling sorry for Europeans who allow this to go on.

And I'm about done with Americans, too.
