Good morning everyone-5 mins to afternoon!

Had Polish sausage and sauerkraut in the crockpot last night---it was soooo good! I think I can perfect on it though. I put my kraut over mashed potatos! yum.

I think I am definitely gaining some weight since I have been home (just moved here from Vegas) maybe all the good food ideas are vicariously packing it on me!!!

Tonight will be hot dogs and chili and the beauty of it is that I don't have to cook it-we are going to my sister's for a BD party!! Yahoo!

Sunny here today, so I am going to head out for a bit!

Have a scrumptious Sunday!!

Hi Guys......I am still around...but have been pretty distracted and suppers have really been "catch as catch can" with the painting and also the micro wave on the fritz....(and now at the shop)....I would have said I hardly use the microwave.....BUT it turns out I use it to defrost supper most nights and without it I am usually caught short!

Tonight I believe it will be chicken livers....(they are defrosted)....but DP wanted bacon this morning so not sure what I will have with the livers tonight....usually its chicken livers and bacon and rice and a salad....time will tell.

Way to go!!!!! I am always so envious when people win some kind of contest! I am so unorganized, usually my recipes are never the same twice! I always just throw in a little of this, a little of that, etc! Of course, if it turns out really well, I have to try to duplicate it!

SKBS, Your energy always amazes me!

Elston - good to see you!

Lisa - Sorry about the chicken legs!

Dinner is either going to be leftover Texas Hash, or baked chicken wings/drumettes in the oven with baked potatoes and salad!

Kats I'm the same. I never measure and never usually do the same thing over-just think of something different to add. So it's hard to give anyone an actual recipe.

Don't feel bad Kats, I follow a recipe and still can't seem to make something turn out the same twice!!
Gentlearts, that is wonderful! Quite an accomplishment!

I watch my wife measure salt...she dumps some in her hand until it looks to suite her and throws it at the pot....I skip the had step....same with pepper...never measure chopped onions or the likes...If it looks good it usually comes out fine....After I get a nap in I think we are going to make a store run and pickup some more of those boneless pork loins... Pulled BBQ pork sounds good later in the month....

Now for the main thing I need to investigate...Anyone have a favorite dry rub that they mix themselves for using on beef brisket in the oven...We have a few cool nights yet and I want to try one this way...I usually do them on charcoal...but the oven in cool weather serves to purposes...

Noma I use this on everything. Equal parts Kosher salt, black pepper, brown sugar, paprika.
