We are having what mom used to call Spanish rice: it is simply rice with hamburger, onions and tomato sauce plus some spices. I may use noodles instead of rice. I am not a rice lover and we had it just a few nights ago. Also we will have an avocado salad.

We never got our grilled hot dogs last night. DH went out to pick them up and returned late in the afternoon while I was still working in the yard. When I asked when he was going to start the grill he looked surprised.

Our days are full of surprises now that his Alzheimer's has been recognized. I still haven't learned not to depend on the formerly reliable. So. A reminder.

We had peanut butter sandwiches with the homemade bread. Ruffled chips and onion dip.

I think the name of the game is going to be flexibility and when it comes to planning meals that's something I can do.

Don't know if we'll grill tonight. Guess we're going to have rain again. I'm going to make a bowl of sauerkraut salad and some baked beans to go with the anticipated hot dogs.

Still wondering what he did instead of grocery shopping!

Probably a good time for hubby too do yard work, and for you too go shopping. Driving is not a good idea, for him....keep everyone safe!
