Jesus as a vegetarian just isn't supported by the historical evidence.
Since you clearly know more about the historical Christian literature than I do I won't try to argue with you, but I still maintain that most mystics whose hearts were filled with compassion for suffering and who taught the law of cause and effect and non-violence to all living things would not have condoned meat eating. But there is no way to prove any of it--it is merely my interpretation of the texts.

A knowledge of cult texts has little to do with the level of enlightenment that you are talking about.

It’s more than your “interpretation of the texts“.
It’s what is known as a “Universal Spiritual Truth” and is a natural step along the road to enlightenment.
It usually follows right after the realization that all life is connected, and that we are truly “One”.

I happen to agree with you, but I also don't want to hurt anyone's feelings in this forum by arguing about their beliefs.
Doesn't matter what they were eating in a Garden of Eden. In Genesis G-d gives us power over every plant and every animal and fish. There is no evidence in the Bible that human being is supposed to eat vegetarian diet. None.

I'm going to let this one go.
Perhaps in other religions, but certainly not in Christianity/Judaism/Islam.
I have heard that there are documents in the Vatican that show that Jesus taught vegetarianism. It seems that all the great mystics did. It is hard to believe otherwise.
That's not true. Jesus Himself said :"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth that is what makes him unclean".
There is not one passage in the Gospels that suggests that Jesus taught vegetarianism.
Bullcrap, humans are scavengers just like most other wild animals. If we weren't meant to eat meat, our bodies would not be able to digest it, let alone crave it.
Humans have been eating meat since we were smart enough to sharpen a stick and THAT is what's natural.
Didn't they catch all kinds of hell for eating an apple?
I've known people who have lived well into their 80's and 90's who ate meat every day. If humans weren't meant to eat meat these folks would have never lived that long. One guy I knew lived to be 93...he ate meat every night, and had two glasses of beer with dinner every night as well. This guy was active too, he wasn't hunched over with a cane for the last ten years of his life, he got around and his senses were sharp right to the end.
Here's what humans are not meant to eat...loads of sugar and salt along with all the other chemical preservatives which are in most of your canned and packaged foods. That along with all the pesticides that are sprayed on our fruits and vegetables. The rules of a good diet haven't changed much in the last 100 years. Eat a balanced diet, nothing to the extreme. Simple, yet so many so called experts today try to complicate it, usually for financial gain to push some diet book, nutrional supplement, or meal plan.
