Town Brookhaven looks alot like what Magnolia Place could have been!

So sad, one of the last old-school drive inns. I'm surprised that they don't own the property though.
The property has great increasing value, which would cause rent to increase as well. The business has been successful, but has become increasingly inaccessible with increased traffic throughout the years. The owner seems to have interest in relocating and remaining in business.

MCDonalds at Howell and East North is being torn down. Probably being replaced. Also a new building has been constructed next door with drive through window but it doesn't look like McDs. Not sure what it is going to be.

McDonald's is completely rebuilding its old locations with new formats on their existing sites. In this case, McDonald's will have its McCafé format with two order lanes and a single pick-up lane in its drive through. McDonald's closed its Playplace playgroud years ago prompting rumors the location was closing for good.

I think the Bi-Lo on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Taylors had yellow store closing signs several weeks ago. This location's closing will not be a surprise with increased competition and an expiring lease. Walmart Neighborhood Market down the road in Greenville at Rushmore Drive will help pull business out.

The Papa John's at Patchwork Plaza has been a fairly busy location without a freestanding format. I guess they are finally relocating after nearly twenty years. Good for them, but bad for Patchwork Plaza which has a high vacancy rate right now alongside Vaughn's at East North, which includes Bi-Lo.

Was in Downtown Greer going to the park and noticed a lot of cars and people seemed to be in the area. We drove down Trade after the park and noticed a ton of people in Acme General Store. Seems it's closing and there was an auction for the items in the store from what we could tell as we drove by.

Acme General Store did fill a void for the need of an outdoor outfitter between Greenville and Spartanburg. Having the store was nice, but it was very limited on its products and selection. Likely with a decline in business, it reduced its hours of operation.

Yesterday was the last day for general retail sales.

Another outdoor outfitter/sports store would thrive well in Greer.

J Peters "Metro", off of Woodruff Road in Greenville, is closed... they even took their sign down. Disappointing for me, as it was one of my favorite places to go for an excellent salad!
