Which would you rather Houston get a major theme park or a Major Casino district?

Would you want a major Suburban Themed Park, or a Major Strip somewhere near the loop filled with 24 hr adult playland filled with lights, gambling, buffets sin and nightclubs?

which do you think would generate more visitors?
Which would generate more money for the city (Taxes)

Casinos. man all the money we pay to Louisiana and they still manage to squander it all away! casinos do increase the number of tourists and money in the coffers

Houston would instantly become a tourist spot if we make Galveston the party/casino island again

when the TX rangers busted Galveston in the 50s for gambling it turned the island into a pit. it is just now starting to get back up. lets help it

I agree. We already have the visitor numbers being in the top 8 most visited cities in the Country. We just need to make these visitors spend more.

Houston would boom with a Casino district based on how many jobs would be created

Well Casino lovers are big kids too

For those who pick Theme Park, what theme would you want?
Space Travel theme? Earth Quiest revisited??, Disney??? Six Flags????

A major Aquarium would also be nice. Moody Gardens is too far, and The Aquarium downtown is nicely planned but too small. They should Flatten the area south of Pierce and build a Casino District there, and build a huge Aquarium north of I10 on all that land Olajuwon has.

nawl nawl now. What about those of us who don't do casinos and nightclubs. I've been feening for rollercoasters. Double-helixes. Loops. Wrought Steel behemoths with 40ft drops, named after animals or superheros. The Condor. Superman. Goliath. The smell of asphalt and popcorn. Carousel music and dixieland tunes in the background....... *goes into daze*

Actually, I'm all for entertainment complexes. And of the three theme park you named, Disney would be the best. Because of their creativity and the knack for appealing to all ages. What they have in L.A. is just ideal in my book. The theme park ANNNND the recent addition of an amusement park.

Take a look:

They were able to incorporate this addition, even though Disneyland is practically landlocked there.... imagine what they could do here with all the land that is in and around the Houston metro area..... *dazes again*
