Saying the report could be faulty is a new one, I’ll give you credit for being creative lol. Apparently it’s got the attention of our lawmakers.
Thats what I mean when you include all the murder suspects released on bond and the number of multiple shootings where you only have 1 suspect it seems like there are too many suspects for the number of actual murders. I want a recount!.

Texas has been closing prisons for years. We don't need more.

Prisons tend to have declining populations when major cities take forever to try violent criminals. As prison populations increase, violent crime decreases and vice versa. Look at what was accomplished in the 90s and look what is happening now. Incarceration works. Always has and always will.

Cities don't try felons, which is the group in prisons. Counties try felons. Harris County needs more District Courts, but those have to be created by the Legislature.

Mass incarceration doesn't work. There's no proof that it does. And, it's expensive. It did not work in the 90's at all.

Exactly. The mass incarceration of the 90’s under Clinton only brought down crime slightly over time compared to the number of people in prison skyrocketing. And everything points towards crowded prisons resulting in more reoffenders.

It really amazes me that anyone can believe such nonsense. Plenty of data shows it works.

I do find your honesty refreshing. I wish more people on your side of the political spectrum would be so honest.

So, tell us what you want. Lock every criminal up forever?

Prove that mass incarceration works. The statistics you reference do not say that at all.
