There's also a Ben's in midtown Manhattan which might be more convenient for some posters. They are excellent, as of a year ago and the place is quite large. Then, there's the Ben's on Old Country Road on Long Island, which has a nice outdoor space, as well as indoor seating.
I know the one in midtown Manhattan, and you're right that it might be more convenient for some posters. Shall we plan on a forum meet-up there?
If the toddler isn't up to that stage yet, you can call ahead and see if they would prepare something or if it would be ok to bring a bag of Cheerios (that's what I used to do) and maybe a juice box because they are kosher, but they are not glatt. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any playground spaces in the area for your little one to run around.
If anyone else has children, there's the Children's Museum of Manhattan on 84th Street, the Carousel in Central Park, and of course, the Central Park Zoo.
