The best part for me was getting to pet the baby chicks! So cute. Many colors. It's a new group promoting "Chicks in the city", getting your eggs from your backyard chickens, instead of factory farms. I told them it could never work where we live because of the HOA. She said "What is with all these HOA's out here." It's the way of the world now it seems, especially in newer communities.
It was HOT out there.
What was the recycled clothing? Clothing made from fibers that came from recycled plastics or paper or something?

I love chickens. I've had them almost every year for the past 10 yrs or so...but I've got 65 acres i can turn them loose on lol. Chickens living in a small coop in 100 weather would stink to high heaven, and I dont think they'd be very happy, but if they're raised that way they probably wouldnt know the difference I guess. I really want to get a pig but Im training for an Ironman this spring and dont have much time to dedicate to any other hobbys right now...but some good, healthy, home raised bacon would be nice! Maybe next year.

Good morning! Or should I say Goedemorgen! because I am writing this from a beach bar in Philipsburg on the Dutch side of Saint Martin. We arrived here earlier this morning, after spending yesterday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While my wife is off shopping somewhere, I searched out the nearest beach bar with free WiFi and ordered a bucket of beer (6 for $13!). I am writing this post while looking out over a bevy of bikini clad locals and the clear blue Caribbean Sea. It doesn't get much better than this!

We need to be back on board by 4:30pm and then it is five straight days at sea crossing the Atlantic until we reach the Canary Islands. After a one-day stop there, it is then two more days before we reach our final destination: Malaga, Spain.

This will most likely be the only day that I post until we reach Spain because the Internet aboard ship costs 55 cents a minute! And it is incredibly slow. I like you guys, but you're not worth 55 cents/minute!

I still love my longtime Phoenix girlfriend, and I cannot deny how much I miss her, especially considering how cruel and nasty the females here have been to me. I have been unemployed now for over 4 months, so what the hell, it is time for a change. Las Vegas will be in my rear view mirror in less than 2 days from now. I know I have alluded to doing this before, but now I am finally doing it. All arrangements are set. The only bad thing is my apartment is now going to destroy my credit for breaking the lease. Who cares anymore, Las Vegas was destroying my life which is worse. I know this decision was made on a whim, but knowing the way I am this is the way it had to be.
Sometimes I make the dumbest decisions. My now ex-girlfriend kicked me out of her house the day I got there. She was going to try to control me and I was not going to put up with it. She had told me on the phone I could not drink in the house, but she did not tell me I could not drink OUTSIDE of the house. She said I would not be able to go out and spend the Friday nights with my best friend in El Mirage since he is a drunk too and she knows we party. She ended up getting really mad that I was not going to agree to her rules and she ended up asking me to leave. I then tried to see if I could move in with my friend. He said no because he already has 7 people living in a 4 bedroom house (him, his wife, her father and his 4 kids). I could only stay in the living room on Friday nights so I decided to head right back to Las Vegas. I never did tell my apartment I left nor did I turn off my electric or cable just in case something like this happened. I was going to turn everything off at the end of last month just to be safe. Thank God I did that! I still have no job but I actually got some good news for once. Since my sister and I don't talk to each other, I never knew I had a rather large inheritance waiting for me from grandfather's death back in 2010. My uncle finally got a hold of me last week and I am so happy now.

I am so happy for you LVD. Maybe you can use the inheritance to create some kind of business for yourself so the job hunting days would be behind you. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the support. I have similar plans to what you said. The only thing is I will have to stay up all night doing it. That inheritance really saved me. I was so stressed out for the last month I did not even want to post on here.

None of my business but I hope you aren't planning to use some sort if gambling system with your inheritance.

Have been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. Was hoping that no news was good news. Sorry that things didn't work out for you back in Phoenix. Keep us posted. With the inheritance hopefully you can get a new reliable car.
Ok here comes the lecture. Don't drink and gamble the inheritance away.

I actually am doing so much better now than I have in the past. I was in hiatus for the last month because I was going through depression again. That all changed last week. I was at Gauden Ford this week and I test drove a new Mustang. The salesman would almost not let me leave but I do not even have my inheritance check yet. All things aside, I am not going to make any large purchases until I get an income coming in. Driving that Mustang and having to get back into my Escort sure is pushing me to reach that goal.
