Maybe it is a good idea.
but also beggars can't be choosers. It seems like there's often a teacher shortage and there will be in decades to come. Making it harder and more expensive for people to become teachers does not seem like a smart idea.

I also feel the same way about nursing. It's not an easy road to become a nurse yet we're in for a big shortage. It won't be pretty.

Nurses get paid quite well. Better than teachers anyways.

There might be a teacher shortage elsewhere in the country but not here.

Depends.....you'd be surprised. At least for Massachusetts. I have each in my family so the subject of industry/peer pay comes up a lot.
