Ok that’s what I was assuming. Living in nyc isnt a preference. Oh well. I’m just grateful for a low log number. Now I shall wait and see.

Spoke too soon, just got the email today to submit documents. Didn't specify what's still available

That’s great to hear that you have gotten contacted and are in general population. I just am curious if they are going in log order or if they divided who they contact by log AND AMI. I noticed you stated you qualify for 165% and have a log <800. I qualify for 50% and have a log <300. Could a log number be skipped?? This process is nerve racking.

I don't think they skip log numbers and should mark everyone either eligible or ineligible (eventually).

My guess is that there's more demand for the 50% and even 130% AMIs over the 165%. So, hypothetically, maybe of 800 applications, 500 apply for 50%, 250 apply for 135% and only 50 are 165%, which would result in longer waits for certain AMIs.

This is all speculation, of course, but sounds possible.

What happens when your income goes down and you fall under a different AMI when they call you? Do they still consider you or you are no longer eligible?

Wow that makes sense sadly lol. More Applicants are in the 50% AMI than in the higher AMI

I think at that point it would also depends on your log number and what the availability is. I could also be wrong. Maybe the vets in the forum can also help with more details
