But yes, that accent is absolutely taking over all of America. In fact, it’s been well-noted that a New Yorker’s age can be guessed just by his or her accent. People of above the age of 40 tend to have a New York accent while younger folks have the same midwestern accent that lady has.

It sounds more than just Midwestern though. I said Midland American English, and there's something like that there, but it's noticeably something else. Definitely not Mid-Atlantic, Deep South, or New England--not even a palimpsest of those.
