When they built ours, a truck dropped the wood off. Nice looking wood. They said, "its fresh wood". It looked clean, can't explain it. Straight wood and all. Didn't come from Home Depot, some mill or something they said. Even the trusses were "clean". We used a local contractor, not a builder.

I got you on the PMS, lost you on the MDF . They said they got it from a yard. I remember now. They said it hit the yard and same day they brought it to our lot. I meant the framing wood to frame the house...OPPS!
Ps. I am a guy and didn't know that...Good job A1M!

Update:
MDF is one of four main categories of wood based panels - laminated boards, particle boards, fibre boards and oriental strand boards. These different types of boards are distinguished by the level of conversion of the wood raw material into veneers, particles or fibres. MDF is a type of fibreboard made from wood or other lignocellulosic materials, refined into fibres and reconstituted with a resin binder (glue) carried out at elevated temperatures. The raw wood material can be in almost any form or specie and in almost any mixture such as low grade wood specie, branches, small diameter trees, hardwood, softwood, mill waste and forestry waste chips. As such, the recovery rate of the raw material is almost 100%.

Instead of "Honey, I made $4k a month and I have steady work until next year" That's $48k a year!

I have been self employed since I was 19. Right out of high school. Had a few. Average is 4 yrs. I see guys time and time again "I will not work unless I make $350 a day". Really? Did you work this week? Yep! once! That's $350 a week. Good job
Excuse me work less, my husband puts in 12 hour days and isnt asking for alot of money, he wants to work with the right builder that values him rather than just work for a paycheck and be considered just a number, he has a great resume, some people have a gift and as weird as it is his is building homes, he doesnt make $ 10,000 a month, that would be nice and he doesnt make $ 90,000.00 a year either, he know he has to prove himself first. He take alot of pride in what he does.

A PM in AZ makes close to that. I'm sure he wouldn't turn it down. The cost of living is not cheap here.
