Default Watch Out For Them "Oldsters"....

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around.

If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, turned to him and said,
'I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son.'

He answered, 'That's okay.'

'I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, It would make me feel so happy.'

She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, 'Goodbye, Mom.'

The little old lady waved, and smiled back at him

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine Into someone's day, he went to pay for his groceries.

'That comes to $121.85,' said the clerk.

'How come so much ... I only bought 5 items..'

The clerk replied, 'Yeah, but your Mother said you'd be paying for her things, too.'

Don't trust little Old Ladies!!!

Just the size of that one building amazes me!! It's definitely an interesting & educational experience that everyone should enjoy!!

The news says everything's A-OK & the skies have cleared, so hopefully I'll put some pix up later....too bad it'll only look like a red ball in the sky, but considering I'm 2 hours south of the Cape, better than nothing!!

Oh by the way, when your up in Scranton there should be plenty of places to buy a wreath.......
I'm sure you'll see them along the way.

So my daughter called, she put the lights on the house up in NY. Her neighbor came by and she said, Merry Christmas_____.! She thinks she might be the first in the neighborhood, no less perhaps the FIRST in the STATE of NY. LOLOL ( PS they are not lit yet, I think anyhow)

I have to keep my home with pumpkins and leaves.........for the Thanksgiving Celebration.

But, I am eager to decorate, because the time seems to just go so fast..........

Well, disappointing shuttle launch!!

Usually you can see the long orange tail behind the rocket for a good minute. This time it stopped before the shuttle came into our view...

So all y'all get a pix of an orange ball of flames, but it's the space shuttle!!

At least I got a nice pix of the moon rising!!

Summering...I can't do Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving...and we wait on the tree until after both of our daughter's December birthdays...it's always into the third week of December before we commit to it.

JG....that moon photo is cool, in any event!

JG.......The photos were interesting anyhow. I knew it would be very dark out.........I like them though........a beacon in the night!

PoconoProud........I really, really try not to put up the tree until Dec 10th. or around that time.
But we get it earlier.......I love that tree farm down just past Lehighton. Perfect trees.......
Our problem is, it comes down very soon after Christmas because we leave for the South.
So I try to put all the Holiday things away and begin to put out the spring things, for our return......
Actually we have 4 birthdays in November! A big party coming up in NJ soon for two.....

I was talking to my neighbor this morning & he said they changed the "trajectory" () of the launch, so it must have cut down on the "thrust" needed...

It seemed to go more horizontal this time...usually it's more straight-up & a wider arc over the ocean...

Oh well....

I have a question, I am moving to Clarks Summit within the next week (actually will be there by next Wed.) and I'm wondering if there are good areas to go see Christmas decorations...is there a center of town that lights a tree, or a christmas parade? Also if anyone has any pictures of clarks summit area I'd love to see them, since I haven't even been there yet and here I am moving there! ( i live in GA now so had no chance to get up that way) Thanks for any and all help!
